Transformation 2010 4.0

Today begins Transformation 2010 4.0.  It is version 4.0 because I have started and stopped several times this year.  If I get too focused on that, I will never begin again and stick to it.

I think this is one of the reasons people don’t stick to weight loss, eating right or whatever.  We know we have failed at it in the past and think “why bother”.  It is possible to change, to make a commitment and stick to it.  Most people don’t just decide to do something, do it exactly how they planned and achieve their goal on the first try.

If you aren’t failing, you aren’t trying.

Restrepo Part II

I liked the movie. It was different just in the way it was edited. It was not a continuous story line but rather jumped from story to story. It was interesting seeing it after reading the book War . It was hard to imagine what this place in Afghanistan looked like.

I saw an interview with Sebastian Junger and he talked to several ex-wifes of the soldiers and they said they probably would have not got a divorce if they had read the book and saw the movie.  They just had no idea what their husbands had been through.

I got a book called “War” by Sebastian Junger for my birthday. Awesome book. Well, their is now an award winning documentary that was made with Sebastian while embed with the platoon that has just been released that I am going to see tomorrow night. Check out the trailer.

Training

Good time in the gym this morning. Did 2 miles and then some upper body. Ate really well throughout the day and then…..

I updated my recruiter on my progress and discussed possible MOS’s (military occupation). Have not made a final decision yet.

Good time with the guys group tonight eventhough there was only 4 of us. We did something different and headed down to downtown Aurora. Good time.
